A Chicago hair salon approached us for a facelift. With the existing space playing a big part in the physical geometry of the salon we took influence from it and incorporated the multifaceted nature of the bay windows and incorporated it into the design.
Taking inspiration from the existing façade of the salon, the design incorporates Chicago’s famous mob history during the roaring 20’s and the Art Deco era that flourished during that time.
The One Amazing Thing Shop’s design brief was to convert a white box gallery space into a pop-up holiday shop “Brown Paper Bag weekend”, an uber fashionable Indian web business in the heritage neighborhood of Colaba, Mumbai.
The inspiration was to create a living space with neon portals to alternate universes.
Responsibilities included design and setup of the shop. Along with product display.
Design and execution time totaled approximately 3 weeks.
